Our client’s brief was for a master ensuite renovation that paid homage to their Scandinavian roots.
They wanted updated facilities and smart storage to create a modern, well-functioning bathroom that they could both use comfortably at the same time.
The 1960’s home has great bones, with light-filled rooms that love the softer tones we were keen to bring into the home.
Peaceful was a word that kept coming up in our initial discussions. Plenty of storage and high-end fittings. Task lighting for applying makeup and easily accessible towel rails were also a priority.
A textural, nordic green handmade tile is the hero in the room. We then specified oak timber for the double vanity and storage unit.
The large-format grey floor and wall tile and frameless shower wall give the room real depth. The vertical lay of the tile in the shower creates a spa-like feeling to the room. Overhead storage in the modern mirrors above the double vanity basins gives the clients plenty of much-needed storage.
This project is still in the concept stage.
